1. Information We Collect

We do not require account registration to browse or download wallpapers. When you visit the site, our server logs may record your IP address, browser type, referring URL and pages visited. This data is used solely for security, analytics and abuse prevention.

Like button: when you like a wallpaper, a one-way hash (SHA-256) of your IP address is stored in our database to prevent duplicate likes. No personal data is stored in a recoverable form.

2. Cookies

We use a single session cookie (vlw_session) to maintain your browsing session. This cookie does not track you across other websites and expires when you close your browser (or after 7 days). We also use your browser's localStorage to remember which wallpapers you have liked, so the like button shows the correct state on revisit.

We do not use advertising cookies, third-party tracking pixels or analytics SDKs by default. If you add Google Analytics or similar services, you must update this policy accordingly.

3. Third-Party Services

Video files and images are served directly from this server. We do not embed content from YouTube, Vimeo or other third-party video platforms. External links (e.g. Wallpaper Engine, Lively) open in a new tab and are governed by the respective site's privacy policy.

4. Data Retention

Server access logs are retained for a maximum of 30 days. IP hashes used for the like system are stored indefinitely in the database but cannot be reversed to identify an individual.

Depending on your jurisdiction you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold about you. To make such a request, contact us.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy periodically. The date at the top of the page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
